The crystal clear gel is made from a natural substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). HA occurs naturally in our bodies and attracts water to hydrate the cells and fibres of the skin. As we age the natural HA in our skin depletes and becomes less efficient. As a result our skin loses its natural elasticity, volume and buoyancy. It has a number of benefits over using fat transfer to provide large volume augmentation - one injection compared to repeated visits to harvest the fat and to achieve optimal treatment effect; minimal downtime; treatment results are predictable and it is a cheaper treatment option because the procedure is less time intensive.
