Leila Lau a qualified Medical Aesthetician from Germany has for 20 years traveled the world to bring to the women of Australia the very latest in permanent beauty techniques and developments, also know as Cosmetic Tattooing.
"permanent make-up should look natural and compliment the face," said Leila.
“People want to wake up looking good without have to put in a lot of effort.”
“Especially women over 40, as they begin to lose definition around the eyes and mouth.”
“The beauty I like to create is ‘permanent’ beauty, but in a natural look"
“It is a tremendous buzz to see a client leave our clinic looking great,” Leila said.
There are many women who would like to look their best all of the time, but who are afraid of what the finished result will look like. Before permanent makeup is applied the makeup is drawn on and the client asked to go home and see if she likes it first. Permanent makeup can be made to look as natural as the client requires. Leila said no one was ever too old to look good and to feel great.
Leila, who trained as a medical aesthetician in Hamburg 21 years ago, travels the world each year attending conferences and workshops to keep abreast of the very latest techniques and developments in treatments and permanent makeup technology. Last year Leila was one of only two Australians invited to attend at the convention in Las Vegas. Over 300 professionals attend the convention.
She also spends a great deal of time training in the very latest techniques. As an active member of the International Association for Permanent Makeup (SPCP), the Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia (APAA), the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology and the German Association of Aestheticians, Leila is constantly in touch with new treatments and new technology all over the world. As much of Leila’s work is based on medical advances she works very closely with leading medical practitioners. This includes working with cancer patients and those who have undergone reconstructive surgery following illness or serious accidents. Her work includes the colouring in of scarring and camouflage work, the reconstruction of eye brows and eye liner for alopecia sufferers, working with prosthesis patients and those who have scarring around the mouth or surgery on a hair lip. The results that can be achieved are quite amazing.
