Skin Needling / Rollcit

Skin needling is based is on the old technique of tattooing without the pigments. The needling of the skin creates tiny areas of trauma that initiate a natural process of healing which releases natural growth factors and also stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. As a result the skin becomes smoother and tighter, a process which is enhanced by the topical application of vitamins A and C.

Skin needling is used to improve fine wrinkles, lax skin, acne scars, visible bleached scars and smaller scars.

The use of a cosmetic Rollcit on a nightly basis is necessary to prime the skin for percutaneous collagen induction using the Medical Rollcit. This is done under local anaesthetic and the skin will heal within 5days using topical application of prescribed oils rich in Vitamin A.

For acne scarring 4-6 treatments performed over a 12 month period will improve scarring by about 70 % which is a better result then laser resurfacing but far less risky. The results that are achieved are not temporary but endure for many years.
