What is Dermapen Skin Needling?

Dermapen is a form of skin needling that uses Advanced Oscillating Vertical Needling (AOVN™) technology, with disposable tips that penetrate the skin, creating micro-channels with an automatic vibrating function. This stimulates collagen producing cells and allows the active ingredients of topical products to penetrate deeper into skin for intense rejuvenation. Dermapen is a far more comfortable way of doing needling for collagen induction therapy. For best results a course of 6-8 Treatments is ideal, spaced over 2-6 weeks apart depending on the skin condition being treated. There’s minimal downtime and its affordable.

What skin concerns are suitable for this treatment?

Dermapen treats many skin concerns including: enlarged pores, scarring including acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, abnormal pigmentation, stretch marks, aged dull and sagging skin, naso-labial lines and smokers lines, ideal for Skin Tightening & Rejuvenation. The treatment promotes the natural reproduction of collagen and elastin, making the skin look and feel smoother and tighter.

Personally I have seen some amazing results using the Dermapen. The skin looks youthful, hydrated, even textured and open pores are diminished. Used in conjunction with a vitamin A peel has even greater benefits. One of the most popular treatments and one of my personal favourites is a Dermapen with a vitamin A peel on the same day. The vitamin A peel is a creamy peel that feels cool and calming on the skin post treatment. The skin sheds a day or 2 later, revealing fresh new supple skin. It’s important to wear sunscreen daily after the treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you can still have the Dermapen skin needling, just not the vitamin A peel.
