What is a Breast Augmentation ?

Breast Augmentation is simply the enlargement of one or both breasts by the surgical insertion of specially designed implants.

The procedure is generally carried out to enlarge & enhance small or underdeveloped breasts, to balance asymmetry (ie unequal size/shape), or to improve sagging or "empty" breasts following childbirth & breast feeding.

Who is suitable ?

Any adult female (& in certain circumstances male) in good general health is suitable for BA, provided that your expectations are realistic.

With a few exceptions, Cosmetic Surgery procedures are elective, ie not carried out for medical reasons. Therefore you must be in the best possible state of health and fit for surgery. This does not mean you will be excluded if you have a medical condition, but it may then be necessary to consult other specialist physicians to ensure that you are fit for surgery.

It must be at least 6 months after cessation of breast feeding.
