A skin rash can be characterized by irritation, redness, itchiness, swollen, bumps, scaly and/or chapped skin. There are many causes of rashes including allergies, infection/diseases, medications and even incorrect skincare. Dermatitis is a common skin condition generally describing an inflammation of the skin. Atopic Dermatitis, also known as Eczema, is an itchy red rash that can appear all over the body. Contact Dermatitis is where a rash is only visible after the skin has been in contact with a particular substance.

Psoriasis, on the other hand, is a chronic autoimmune disorder where the skin develops raised, red or silvery scaly rash patches. Certain triggers can make the condition worse and cause flare-ups such as cold and dry climates, stress and certain medications. Other causes of skin rashes can include allergic reactions, inflammation or infections which may need medical attention.
