Our bodies sweat naturally to stay cool and maintain body temperature and its also a response to exercise or stressful/emotional situations. Excessive sweating can be due to a genetic disorder or there could be an underlying medical condition causing the symptom. It can be noticed if normal daily use of anti-perspirant does not control the sweating.

The medical term ‘primary hyperhidrosis’ can also describe a possible genetic disorder where you can experience constant excessive sweating without any triggers in areas like the underarms, scalp, hands, feet and groin. Certain clothing fabric/non-natural fibers can increase sweating and marks are usually seen in underarm, back or under breast areas. Excessive sweating can cause psychological and emotional issues and you may even need to change to dry clothes regularly throughout the day.
